We had a meeting with Special Events Catering about my daughter's wedding and we were completely and wonderfully surprised! They were not only personable but listened to everything we wanted, offered ideas and suggestions and even money saving tips. When we left the meeting I knew, no matter what, I would be hiring them as our caterers. And I did! We corresponded via email a million times through the winter then picked up again just before the wedding. Every email was friendly, understanding and mindful of our budget and ideas.
I had never met Jackie before this but will consider her a long distance friend forever. She promised that I would enjoy my daughter’s wedding/ reception and that she would take care of everything at the reception, and did she ever! I never had to make a single decision or organize a thing once the wedding started. Jackie and Santo are trustworthy and do what they say they will do, no surprises!
Together with their staff, they provided optimal service to us and our guests. Their attentiveness made me feel so special and as the mother of the bride, I appreciated their sensitivity to every detail.
Our menu included a variety of appetizers, together with NY Sirloin steak and Italian chicken grilled on site, penne pasta, roasted red potatoes, green bean almandine, tossed salad, and rolls as well as a coffee station. We served the meal buffet style as our intention was to have a relaxed farm style. I have never heard so many people compliment on wedding food. It was delicious! Each person got their own thick steak and for those meat eaters - they were in heaven! I tasted it all and my palate was not disappointed.
From beginning to end, they surpassed my expectations. They are more than happy to work within your budget effectively – and as I said, they even offered money saving tips! I was not disappointed with any aspect of the process. I will highly recommend them to you and yours but most importantly, I will not hesitate to call on them again if I ever need an event catered! - Linda Friedman

food was great! We had a family reunion and 87th birthday
party for our father. Special Events Catering's staff set up quickly and left us to
enjoy a delicious chicken that everyone raved over, roasted potatoes, fresh
salad, and light and fruity dessert that was perfect for a summer day.
They were very thoughtful to go to the house (a rental on Lake Sunapee) beforehand to see what
the space was like. They did an excellent job and everyone was extremely
pleased, this coming from a family of food connoisseurs!

When we first got engaged, my husband, a confirmed foodie, insisted that the food had to be delicious. Realistically, we knew it also had to be reasonably priced and the caterers had to provide good service. We found everything we were looking for with Special Events Catering.
When I met with Santo and Jackie for our first
appointment, I felt as if I was chatting with old family friends as we
discussed all the options for our reception meal. Santo and Jackie were very honest and practical about the best food to serve for a crowd of approximately 200. Their
first concern was to provide us with the best possible meal for our
guests, and their experience helped make our decisions easier.
Their efforts came through on the day of the
wedding as our guests devoured their appetizers, raved over the buffet
options, and were floored by the sundae bar. Seems we weren’t the only
ones delighted by the delicious food!
Not only was the food amazing, but the service was excellent. Jackie
and Santo worked tirelessly to make sure every detail was perfect and
it gave us the opportunity to relax and enjoy the moment. We’re grateful to Santo and Jackie for helping to make our wedding day a wonderful memory.

Santo was an integral part of what made our entire wedding weekend an enormous success. He catered our rehearsal dinner, our wedding dinner, and brunch the following day. To do this, he needed to collaborate with not only me and my husband-to-be, but two different sets of parents and an aunt who lived half way across the country. Each of the meals were simply delicious, and we received numerous compliments from
our guests.
